Author Bio
Once Upon A Time There Was a Little Girl
Tracy
grew up on Eastern Long Island in New York. She loved
reading at a young age and, even as important, she
believed in true love and happily ever after. Her
imagination blossomed and she created tales of princes
and princesses in far off lands, living in castles with
gardens the vivid colors of impressionist paintings.
The Years Passed and the Princess Grew Up
Tracy’s
love for reading increased, especially historical tales
of lost love and second chances. Among her favorites
were works by Jane Austen, the Bronte Sisters. What could be more romantic than Mr. Darcy
declaring his love for Elizabeth?
Or Emma
finding love in the familiar face of Mr. Knightley? Or
of Jane finally returning home to a blind Mr. Rochester?
If only there was such a man for her …
Someday My Prince Will Come
Tracy
is one of many young ladies who dream of love at first
sight. She is also proof that wishes do come true. Her
Prince came in the form of her husband, Greg. Not only
is he her soul mate, but he is also her inspiration. It
was Greg who gave Tracy the idea to write her own
novel. And the idea took flight …

Dream a Little Dream
While Tracy was working on her first
novel, Dance With Deception, she had the opportunity to
meet several of her favorite romance authors, gracious
women sharing a wealth of knowledge about writing and
the publishing business. Tracy joined the Romance
Writers of America and attended several national and
regional conferences, learning as much about the craft
of writing a romance novel as she possibly could. When
she finished Dance With Deception, she was ready to
publish her masterpiece, certain it would be a success.
Not So Fast
Tracy’s first draft was not ready for publication,
proven by her rejection letters, so she put her
manuscript aside for a couple of years while she and her
husband relocated to Houston, Texas. Encouraged to
polish her first draft by both her husband and her good
friend, LeeAnn Lessard, she attended another national
conference then went to work editing her book. Tracy
also
hired
MAC Editorial services to teach her an invaluable lesson
… how to edit her first novel. With Carole Spencer’s
help, she learned how to read her manuscript through an
editor’s eyes. And the hard work continued until Dance
With Deception was at last a final draft.
Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
Tracy pitched Dance With Deception to Jacqueline
Druga-Marchetti, Editor in Chief of LBF Books, at the
Romance Writers of America national conference in Reno,
Nevada. A year later, Tracy received the call every
author dreams of … “LBF Books has offered to purchase
the rights to your novel.” Let the celebration begin!
And They All Lived Happily Ever After …
Well, it’s too early
to tell but Tracy does still believe in happily ever
after. She and her husband, Greg, reside in Houston with
their three feline-sons. They eagerly await the release
of Dance With Deception, the first in a series of three
novels set in Victorian England. Tracy is hard at work
writing the next two novels in the series. Dance With
Deception is just the beginning …
