Can you believe autumn is upon us? Had it not been for the start of the new fall TV season, I wouldn’t have believed it. This summer flew by!
With the first days of autumn come a crop of TV shows, new and old, to light up the small screen. What shows are you looking forward to?
My first indulgence has already begun … Dancing With The Stars. I love this show and have watched since season one. I’m excited about this season for one reason: Scary Spice. Yes, I admit it … I was a fan of the Spice Girls. My hubby and I even attended a concert of theirs on Long Island. So, I am rooting for Mel B. Go Scary!
Other shows I’m glad to see back are Ugly Betty, Boston Legal, Desperate Housewives, and Ghost Whisperer. As for new shows, I don’t know about many of them. I did set my DVR for Dirty Sexy Money for one reason: Donald Sutherland. I haven’t seen it yet, though. Nor have I seen last night’s Ugly Betty premiere yet. I can’t wait to catch up with it this weekend.
Your turn! What shows are you looking forward to?
Yes, Big Brother’s double eviction is tonight. Woo-hoo! I’ve said before that I’m hooked and I still am but I’m also a little bummed because it looks like one of my favorite players, Jessica, is going to be evicted tonight. Yep, part of her “Little Julie Chen” alliance (Dick and Danielle) seem to have turned on her. Oh, well. Nothing last forever.
Here’s my question of the day: would you ever audition for a reality TV show and, if so, which one would it be?
To answer my own question, I wouldn’t. Regardless of how much I like Big Brother, I can’t imagine putting my life on hold for 3 months or so to spend it in the Big Brother house. Nope, I’ll watch it but I won’t live it; not even for $500,000.
Now it is your turn. Is there a reality show you’d audition for? If so, which one is it and why?
I was saddened to hear about Owen Wilson’s alleged suicide attempt. What’s infuriating is the fact that photographers have camped outside of his home and, in an effort to make money off of his picture, won’t even let the man park his car in the garage without being hounded. It’s true. Last night, I turned on CNN Headline News and Showbiz tonight was on, debating Owen Wilson’s suicide attempt while airing footage of photogs hounding him outside of his garage.
This is so sad on so many levels. The fact that Owen Wilson was so despondent that he may have tried to take his own life is just heart breaking. The fact that he can’t recover in peace is just ridiculous. It’s his home, for goodness sake. If people can’t have privacy in their own homes, where can they? Where does this end?
Why does our society do this to celebs? And where does the line get drawn? What are your thoughts?
