Can you believe it is December 31st? 2007 flew past! As I mentioned in my December Newsletter email, I am astonished at how much has happened this year. My dream came true and I am officially a published author! I am truly grateful for the enthusiastic reception that my debut novel, Dance With Deception has received. From reaching the Best Seller List on EPIC eBook Store to seeing my novel hit #1 on both the Chapters.indigo.ca Romance and Trade Paperback Bestseller lists. And there’s more … successful book signings at Barnes and Noble & Katy Budget Books to the rave reviews Dance With Deception has received from Coffee Time Romance, Fallen Angel Reviews, & Bestselling Authors Barbara Dawson-Smith, Hannah Howell, and Gayle Wilson. It has been an extraordinary year!Thank you so much for your unwavering support and for sharing my dream come true. I appreciate each of you!
Now, comes my question:
New Years Resolutions … love ‘em or hate ‘em? For me, the answer is neither. I don’t typically do New Years Resolutions because I live me life, working to accomplish my goals on a daily basis. I guess I don’t normally think I need resolutions at the beginning of the year to accomplish my goals. This year, though, I do have a couple. Here goes:
1) Create more free time to write! 2) Blog more often!
The above have been difficult for me in the past 6-8 months due to day job responsibilities however, with 2008 upon us, it is time for a change … a positive one and, while I’m not one for resolutions, I am going to adhere to one life lesson if you will … Always remember what is important and not allow myself to lose sight of it. For me, this means family, friends, and my dream of becoming a full time Author.
