Today I’m indulging in a discussion of my three obsessions — BIG BROTHER, MOONLIGHT, and DOCTOR WHO.

Spoiler Alert #1:

So, last night was the finale of CBS’ BIG BROTHER.  Remember when I said Natalie was my favorite and I wondered if someone that loyal could win?  Yeah, well she was voted out weeks ago, backdoored by fellow alliance members Ryan and Sheila.  So, last night pit Ryan against his good friend Adam “Baller” Jasinski.  Winner gets $500,000. and runner-up takes home $50,000.  The vote was 6-1 in Adam’s favor.  Here’s my take:

Ryan all but handed over $450,000 when he voted out Natalie.  By voting out Natalie, he voted out the one remaining player that was more disliked than he was.  He didn’t stand a chance up against Adam, Sheila or Sharon in the final two.  Big mistake — costly mistake.  And I have to admit, I stopped admiring Ryan’s game play the moment he did so.

So, Ryan joins James and even my favorite Natalie in the mistakes department (Natalie never should have let Sheila have the HOH competition and it cost her dearly).  All played strong games however one mistake cost each of them the big money.

I still love BIG BROTHER and think Chatty Natty was the best player this year.  We’ll see what July brings with the BB10 cast.

Now onto MOONLIGHT

Spoiler alert #2:

OMG, OMG, OMG — who saw MOONLIGHT on Friday?  What a fabulous episode.  Mick’s sacrifice for Beth … heartbreaking.  Alex O’Loughlin is such a talented actor!  I was so moved when he was pleading with his best friend Josef to turn him.  This episode (especially the sexy, tortured Mick played brilliantly by Alex O’Loughlin) was so worth the five month wait.

Welcome back, MOONLIGHT!

Now, onto DOCTOR WHO

Spoiler alert #3:

Rose Tyler is baaaaaaaaaack!  Woo-hoo!  I hadn’t been keeping up with DOCTOR WHO rumors so I was shocked to see Billie Piper on screen last Friday in DOCTOR WHO.  From what I understand, she will be in three episodes this season and I am thrilled!  IMHO, Rose Tyler was the Doctor’s best Assistant (yep, she is my favorite).  The chemistry between her and both DOCTOR WHO actors, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant, was undeniable.  And her exit was so touching!  DOOMSDAY remains one of my favorite episodes ever of DOCTOR WHO and I still cry when I watch it.

So there you have it — three of my favorite obsessions.  What are yours?

Imagine my surprise when watching the end of Ghost Whisperer to see Mick St. John pop on the screen asking, “Did you miss me?”

Well, yeah!

Boy, have I missed Moonlight!  While LostBig Brother, Masterpiece’s Complete Jane Austen and American Idol have kept me occupied both during and after the writers’ strike, the void left by Moonlight was great indeed.

So, now Mick is back (just in time for my birthday) and I am thrilled!  What will happen now that he is mortal?  How long will this Human Mick last before he turns back into a vampire?  And when are he and Beth going to realize what we faithful viewers already know?  Yes, these two belong together.  I’m glued to my set and can’t wait to see for myself!

The one drawback to this Moonlight advertisement was that my DVR stopped recording and I only saw half of it.  Ugh!  Does CBS know the angst this has caused?  Please air another ad … pretty please.  Okay, I’m done with my begging.

Another come back is that of Lost.  After a killer season (literally and figuratively as they have killed off some leads) Lost was off for a month.  What a long month it has been!  This season proves that a show can get better with age as this season has been ripe with fabulous writing and acting as well as much excitement.

Here’s some scoop for you: who is going to be an extra on Lost?  None other than our own Morag McKendrick Pippin.  Congrats, Morag!  I can’t wait to see her on the silver screen.

What shows are you happy to see again?  What shows have you missed beyond reason?

Tell me all.
