So, what are you watching tonight?  I’m excited about the return of Grey’s Anatomy (loved McSteamy & Little Grey last year as well as the Owen and Christina storylines).  But there’s more.  Take a look at what I’ll be DVR-ing.

Grey’s Anatomy - McSteamy and Little Grey’s relationship came as a pleasant surprise last year but my favorite couple has to be Owen & Christina (Kevin McKidd, formerly of Rome, rocks as war vet Owen who comes back scarred).  Between those plot lines, George’s death, and Izzie’s survival, tonight’s premiere should be well worth the summer hiatus wait.  DVR-ing?  Absolutely.

FlashForward - Autumn is always difficult for me because one of my absolute favorite shows, Lost, is not on.  I’m hoping FlashForward will fill some of the void made by Lost’s hiatus (I’m eagerly anticipating the addition of Dominic Monaghan to the cast).  The only show I’m looking forward to more than FF is the remake of V, one of my all-time favorite series ever.  Happily, V premieres on November 3rd.  DVR-ing?  You bet!

Vampire Diaries - I find this show intriguing so far.  Ian Somerholder shines portraying a truly evil character, a far cry from his role on Lost.  DVR-ing: of course.

Fringe - Premiering on its’ new night, a show I’ve been hooked on since it premiered last year.  I love Joshua Jackson and John Noble, their quirky chemistry as son/father is truly funny.  The show itself is supernatural/mystery and gets pretty creepy at times.  If last week’s premiere is any indication, this should be a great season.  Side note: could they have ended last season on a more surprising note?  Seeing Leonard Nemoy and Anna Torv’s characters standing in an office may not have been surprising but when the camera panned out to show that they were actually in one of the two World Trade Center towers (in a parallel universe) was shocking. No other show like it on TV.  DVR: yep, working overtime tonight.

Honorable mentions:

The Mentalist and Project Runway - I can’t promise I’ll watch them both tonight, but I am definitely recording them to watch on a less-busy TV night.

So, there’s my must see Thursday list.  What are you watching?

Thank you, Ausiello Files for this piece of news but there’s another promo out there, too. Check this one out if you haven’t yet seen it:

Creepy, huh? And how about that line: “They’re arming themselves with the most powerful weapon out there … devotion.” Whoa!

Fabulous cast (a big “Yeay” for casting LOST’s Juliet Mitchell and THE 4400’s Joel Gretch), great premise, and the promise of the old cast returning (Michael Ironside and Jane Badler, please). I can’t wait for the remake of V!

There are SO many shows I’m sure I’m missing!! But the ones I already have on my DVR are OTH (thanks for getting me hooked–I am trying to catch up on the old before watching the new, so the Tivo is going to be getting pretty full.)

NCIS–Johnathan got me hooked on this show. The cast works SO well together!

Drop Dead Diva–If you have not seen this yet, you MUST at least try it once!! It is SO well written and Brooke Elliott is FAB as Jane!!

Vampire Diaries I’m still trying to get used to the actors or SOMETHING in this show. I like it but I am not HOOKED (yet).

Ghost Whisperer I’m anxious to see how they handle this season. I’ve stuck with it through last year’s lousy writing, I may as well try again and then to follow it up with…

MEDIUM–I am SO glad CBS picked this up!! It is SO well written and I love the chemistry between Allison and Joe!

Big Bang Theory–cannot get enough of this show! SO well written and FUNNY the guy who plays Sheldon is fantastic!! LOL

Gary Unmarried I love this show too. Cannot say enough about Jay Mohr in this role!! LOVE it!!

Private Practice starts next week I believe and I am waiting to see how the cliff hanger is resolved!

Too many shows and not enough DVRs to tape them all (since I can’t watch one and tape another with satellite)!!

I didn’t get to watch FLASHFORWARD but I had the chance to speak with the author who wrote the book the series is based on. He’s great. I hope this series helps him get on the lists.

I’m looking forward to watching THE MENTALIST and CASTLE. I love Nathan Filion’s one liner. No one can deliver them like he can.

I’m currently watching MEDIUM (fabulous) and missed most of GHOST WHISPERER.

I gave up on GHOST WHISPERER last year. After viewing the season finale, I realized that I didn’t care what happened next — a shame since the show was once one of my favorites. It is officially off of my DVR record list, I’m afraid.

I know what you mean, Leanne, about THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. I did fast forward through some of it this Thursday but still thought the ending was interesting. We’ll see what happens.

I wonder how much the series FAST FORWARD differs from the novel, LeeAnn. I did see last week’s premiere but found it to be a little slow at times. Still, I love Jack Davenport and Dominic Monaghan so I’ll give it more time.
